Why the name
Many people ask where the name Copper Mesquite Farm comes from. My husband works in the salvage world and brings home a lot of scrap metal—especially copper. And our German Shepherd’s name is Copper too, so the name already felt like part of our life. The mesquite part comes from one of the very first things we ever sold: mesquite pod coffee made from local mesquite pods. We sold out right away. Since then, things have grown into much more. Along with baking breads, cinnamon rolls, muffins, and making jams, we’ve also started growing our own fruits and vegetables here on the property. And when mesquite pod season comes back around, we’ll be roasting up more mesquite coffee again. So the “Farm” part reflects what we’re building—a little homestead where we grow, bake, create, and share what we make with our community. It may not be a traditional farm… but it’s our kind of farm. 🌳
